The Magic Garden

Top Ten Funded Family Attraction 2017 (National Lottery)

With support from Arts Council England and Libraries Unlimited, we toured The Magic Garden in 2017 and 2018 across Devon’s libraries, pre-schools, arts centres and festivals. In 2021 we developed the show for primary schools, with an aim to improve mental health and wellbeing following the detrimental impact of 3 Lockdowns. The project included teaching a relaxation technique and provided access to a guided meditation, some schools adopting this as a daily practice.

Quick Relaxation (5 minutes)

Guided Meditation (20 minutes)

The Magic Garden is a multi-sensory delight, where little ones can water flowers, meet animal friends and participate in a teddy bear’s picnic. Fairies and woodland creatures live in a magic tree but there are plans to chop it down. We invite our audience into a world of imagination, where their ideas and co-operation avert an impending disaster, an environment which promotes creativity, self-empowerment and problem solving. This performance was created to meet the developmental needs for Early Years children and is accessible for babies and toddlers, as well as for children up to aged 8 and their families.
